New Robotics Academy Blog is up
Greetings from the Carnegie Mellon University Robotics Academy. We’re hoping to supply you with a steady stream of useful robotics education information, from updates on cool new hardware and software, to upcoming robotics-related events and announcements. With curriculum in several thousand schools worldwide, and hundreds of teachers training both online and on-site every year, we continue our mission to bring STEM-focused learning into the mainstream of education. Take some time to browse our extensive website resources. You’ll find everything from lessons and challenges for the student to technical resources and white papers for the educator.
We’ll also dig up some interesting ‘robots in the real world’ stories: the axiom that ‘truth is stranger than fiction’ is readily apparent when you get a glimpse of some of the latest technology the world is buzzing about. The Robotics Academy gets to experience some of this buzz at very close range: we’re located in the National Robotics Engineering Center, where the robotics research, prototyping and engineering is second to none. Machines around here fly, crawl, slither, plow, and jump, and that’s just for starters.
Welcome again, then, to our new blog.
